HEALTHY FAMILY

Every mom I know wants their kids to be three things: happy, smart and healthy. But the last one sometimes gets lost in the motherhood mix. Somehow, we lose our way when it comes to taking ownership of our own health.

And maybe YOU haven’t! Kudos to you! Maybe you’re drinking your homebrewed kombucha while doing a downward dog yoga pose. If you are…very cool. Keep clicking for fun & healthy recipes and tips on keeping kids active!

But as Moms, many of us get sidetracked on this one from time to time. I want to get you back on track or…down the right path. It’s been a journey for me, too, and I still have to actively make sure I don't run off course.

One of the most important things you can teach your children is to take care of their bodies.

One of the most important things you can teach your children is to take care of their bodies.

The World Health Organization estimates that by 2025, the number of overweight or obese infants and children will reach 70 million! Young children who start on this path are likely to continue down it. Many will suffer from heart disease, diabetes and cancer in adulthood. It’s sad, but true.

It is our job to instill in our children the skills to eat healthy and stay active.

I know it’s a commitment. But you are your body’s keeper. Say that again. And say it again the next time you want to eat a pan of pizza! Haha! No one takes care of your body and has a greater influence on it than you, right? Not your doctor, your chiropractor, your hubby. It’s starts and ends with you!

And your kids? You are their greatest influence.

Great news! Kids are the best partners in this arena. Kids love to be active and play and are naturally adventurous (in their individual ways, of course). By showing your kids how to take care of their bodies, you are paving the way for them to enjoy lifelong wellness.  Because as we all know, taking care of our body is good for our mind and our soul.

Okay. But what can you do? Let's go to your roots, Mama.

Implement two things:

  1. Real Food

  2. Daily Movement

These are things you can do TODAY and can implement easily. Because motherhood should be simple.
